About the Author

About the Author
Starting in 1975, Venerable Sheng Yen began lecturing in the United States. In 1997, he established the Chan Meditation Center in Queens, New York, and also founded the Dharma Drum Retreat Center in Pine Bush, New York. He traveled extensively throughout Europe and various Asian countries, particularly Taiwan, to continue teaching. His lifelong dedication to the Buddhist cause has resulted in numerous publications and has touched the lives of countless individuals.
